The Center for Advanced Studies in Arid Zones (CEAZA), located in La Serena and Coquimbo - Chile is a scientific consortium dedicated to studying the impact of climatic and oceanographic variability on the hydrological cycle and biological productivity in the arid zones of Northern-Central Chile.
CEAZA is searching for a full-time Researcher in Hydrology/Hydrogeology
CEAZA is searching for a full-time Researcher in Hydrology/Hydrogeology
The successful candidate will undertake research on the hydrological processes involved in the water cycle of semiarid Northern-Central Chile, which may include, but is not limited to: surface and/or groundwater modeling; surface water/groundwater interaction; groundwater flow; cold regions hydrology, time series analysis and the interpretation of spatially distributed hydrological data.
The hydrologist at CEAZA traditionally works closely aligned with the glaciology group, and so we strongly encourage applications from cold regions hydrologists or glacial/snow hydrologists. In addition, the hydrology unit has recently acquired several pieces of geophysics equipment which are being applied to both groundwater and rock glacier projects currently, but open a wide scope of possibilities for other applications.
