The Office of Polar Programs, Antarctic Sciences Section is seeking a qualified candidate for a Biological Science Administrator (Program Director) position for the Antarctic Organisms & Ecosystems Program. 

Among other tasks, the qualified candidate will be responsible for:

  • Running and managing the merit review process for the Antarctic Organisms and Ecosystems Program 
  • Overseeing NSF-funded Antarctic science programs in a broad range of activities within the AOE
  • Working with counterparts in the Division of Antarctic Infrastructure and Logistics to assure appropriate integration of research projects with Antarctic science support infrastructure
  • Evaluating the utilization of scientific and logistical resources for AOE Functions 
  • Managing AOE Program Convenes external oversight and management reviews as necessary
