Dear Arctic research community
Here in SIOS, we are hosting this year’s online conference on "Earth Observation (EO) and Remote Sensing (RS) applications in Svalbard" during 08-10 June 2021. This online conference is being organized to: (1) to promote the work of PhD students, postdocs, researchers, senior scientists, and academics who are actively contributing to the science of Svalbard. (2) review the state-of-the-art EO and RS applications in Svalbard and; (3) provide social experience to the Svalbard scientific community during the pandemic time.
There is no registration fees associated with submission of abstracts or attending this conference.

Early career researcher (ECR) awards: The top 5 presentations by ECRs will be eligible to have the article processing charge (APC) covered by SIOS when submitting manuscripts to the SIOS’s special issue (https://sios-svalbard.org/SpecialIssueRemoteSensing) in the journal Remote Sensing.
