Dear Cryolist,
As part of a cluster of hires across the School of Geography, Earth & Environmental Sciences (GEES) at the University of Birmingham, UK, we are seeking to appoint two full-time, permanent faculty members at Assistant / Associate Professor level (Lecturer / Senior Lecturer, UK). The positions are broadly defined within: Hydrology and Water Resources, and Ecohydrology and Aquatic Hydrology, and may suit applicants with a cryosphere / snow / ice focus. The first position seeks to strengthen and complement existing capacities in the areas of quantitative methods in water resource management, hydrological modelling, environmental sensing, remote sensing and earth observation, advanced methods in Geographical Information Systems (GIS), and/or socio-hydrology and water governance. The second will focus on the application of field, experimental and / or modelling methods in quantitative freshwater ecology and ecohydrology.
Particulars may be found following the links below.
Closing dates for applications are 1st June 2021. I'm happy to field any informal enquiries, along with Professors Stefan Krause (s.krause@bham.ac.uk) and Jon Oldfield (j.d.oldfield@bham.ac.uk).
Nick
