[CRYOLIST] PhD position in lake ice ecology at UQTR, Canada

The Department of Environmental Sciences at Universite du Quebec a Trois-Rivieres (UQTR), Canada, is seeking a candidate for a funded PhD project to study the interactions between lake ice cover and submerged aquatic vegetation (SAV).

We seek candidates with skills in remote-sensing and geomatics in cryospheric environments, with knowledge of aquatic ecology being an asset. The candidate will derive ice cover and ice type phenology in the lake St-Pierre region in southern Quebec, and study its relationships with remotely-sensed and in situ SAV observations.

Interested candidates should contact Prof. Andrea Bertolo (andrea.bertolo@uqtr.ca) and Christophe Kinnard (christophe.kinnard@uqtr.ca) for more information on the project and application process.
