Dear Cryolist members
In response to many requests from interested participants, the abstract submission deadline has been extended for the International Symposium on ICE IN A SUSTAINABLE SOCIETY (ISS). The new deadline for submitting abstracts is 18 March 2022. This is a generous extension and I trust you will all be able to submit in good time. Please do NOT wait until the last minute to submit.
We are all a bit 'out of practice' with the idea of attending symposia but the promising news about the lifting of restriction should lift our spirit with the reality the we will meet each other face to face in the wonderful city of Bilbao.
Please note that this will possibly also delay the 'Notification of acceptance' by one week as well.
The meeting will be held 5–10 June 2022, in Bilbao, Basque Country, (Spain).
We also remind you that participants who wish to benefit from the early registration prices must register before 25 March 2022. On that date is also the deadline for guaranteeing the booking of the hotel rooms that have been reserved for the symposium attendees.
We also have grants* available to fund accommodation and/or registration fees for a limited number of early career researchers (students and early postdocs) up to and including 30 years old.
*Full or partial grants will be awarded on a competitive basis.
Please note that the abstract submission system is separate from the IGS portal. You will have to register your details if you have not submitted an abstract with us before.
If you have not already done so please go to pre-registration and register your interest to attend as that will ensure you receive all future communications relating to the symposium. Formal registration should open within the next few days.
