Pre-registration for the MICROSNOW (details below) workshop on the 6-8 August 2014 is now open:
If you would like to attend this, or the related Intercomparison of Snow Grain Size Measurements follow-up workshop on the 4-5 August, please fill in the pre-registration form so that we can cater for your needs and to alert you directly when registration opens. Although those interested are welcome to attend, places are strictly limited. Registration will open on 14th April 2014 and will close on 31st May 2014.
The Microstructure in Snow Microwave Radiative Transfer workshop aims to develop understanding on how snow microstructure information should be used in radiative transfer theory. Developments in snow microwave models and the implications for snow remote sensing will be discussed. This international workshop will bring together researchers at all career levels and with a range of experience, both practical and theoretical. We welcome submissions that cover relevant areas, including discussions on the physics of microwave scattering from snow microstructure, development of microwave data products, coupling physical and microwave models and optimal calibration / validation of models.
