[CRYOLIST] ELS 2014 - the Earth Living Skin: Soil, Life and Climate Changes - Abstract submission : 15th February

Dear Friends and Colleagues,
We are glad to invite you to ELS 2014 - the Earth Living Skin: Soil, Life and Climate Changes - the first Conference organized under the auspices of the Soil System Sciences (SSS) Division of the European Geosciences Union.

ELS 2014 will be held from 21 to 25 September 2014 in Nova Yardinia, Castellaneta Marina (TA), Italy.

This conference is the best (European) platform for SOILS scientist to exchange. The overview of all sessions you'll find here: http://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/ELS2014/sessionprogramme

Additionally, I want to draw your special attention to the session ELS22:
"Permafrost-affected soils of high latitudes and high altitudes in a changing world" organised by Sebastian Zubrzycki, Marc Oliva and Elya Zazovskaya. This session focuses on soils affected by cold temperatures.
The aim of the session is to identify the state of knowledge of permafrost-affected soils and cold soils, with a focus both on present properties with their possible changes in future, and past soil formation processes. The combination of these focuses on soils from permafrost-affected and cold regions may contribute to better understand how soils may react to future climate scenarios.

For details of this session and abstract submission see here:http://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/ELS2014/session/16099

The deadline for submitting your abstract is approaching fast: 15th February 2014.

If you need some information or help in the process of abstract submission please contact the conveners.

Best Regards
