Dear Colleagues,
Newcastle University (UK) seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Physical Geography tenable from September 2014. You should be able to contribute to one or more of our existing research themes in physical geography (cryospheric systems, landscape evolution, palaeoclimatology and river management), and have a track record of research and publication commensurate with the level of appointment.
You will be expected to make a full contribution to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and to undertake supervision of postgraduate students. We welcome applications from candidates with research interests in landscape dynamics (with a focus on quantifying and modelling river, glacier and/or hillslope processes), or Quaternary environmental change and/or geochronology. Experience in remote sensing and/or GIS would be a particular benefit.
The full job advertisement, and information about physical geography here at Newcastle University, can be found at: https://www15.i-grasp.com/fe/tpl_newcastle02.asp?newms=%20jj&id=52507
