Dear colleagues,
There is an open postdoctoral position available at NPI in sea ice physics/physical oceanography, funded by the Norwegian Research Council project "air-snow-ice-ocean INTERactions transforming Atlantic Arctic Climate (INTERAAC)". https://www.jobbnorge.no/ledige-stillinger/stilling/231248/postdoktor-i-havisfysikk-fysisk-oseanografi
The position is for a two-year term based in Tromsø, linked to the NPI Arctic Programme.
The main task for the position is to process existing and new data from sensors on instrument rigs, drifting sea ice buoys and in situ or air-based data collection. The data series will be shared with partners in the project, with the aim of joint analyses of in situ and satellite measurements of sea ice and snow on sea ice. Project partners are based at UiT Norway's Arctic University, Tromsø, and in China.
Questions about the position can be directed to program manager Arild Sundfjord, arild.sundfjord@npolar.no , tel. 473 04 197, or section leader Sebastian Gerland, sebastian.gerland@npolar.no , tel. 958 61 850.
