Dear cryosphere colleagues,
In case this is of interest, I would like to bring to your attention three recent reports on Antarctic sea ice that colleagues and I have published on the SCAR Antarctic Environments Portal (https://environments.aq/). These reports are summaries of the current state of knowledge and targeted to be of relevance to Antarctic managers and policy makers, along with the broader scientific community. We have covered three topics:
Antarctic Sea Ice #1: Physical Role and Function (https://environments.aq/publications/antarctic-sea-ice-1-physical-role-and-function/)
Antarctic Sea Ice #2: Biological Importance (https://environments.aq/publications/antarctic-sea-ice-2-biological-importance/)
Antarctic Sea Ice #3: Trends and Future Projections (https://environments.aq/publications/antarctic-sea-ice-3-trends-and-future-projections/)
These reports are peer-reviewed and have DOIs. There are also three associated infographics (with critters) in the Resources/Graphics section of the portal (https://environments.aq/graphics/).
Hopefully this may be of interest to some of you. There are also many other excellent information summaries on the portal that may be of interest to this group.
Best wishes,
Kyle
