[CRYOLIST] WCSS Glasgow-2022 - abstract submission deadline in about 10 days!

This is kind reminder that we're in just about 10 days before the abstract submission deadline November 30, 2021.

The congress dates are from Sunday 31 July (opening ceremony) to Friday 5 August 2022 in Glasgow U.K. The technical sessions (plenaries, interdivisional sessions and scientific sessions) will take place on Monday through Thursday inclusive. There will be opportunity for local tours (soil and tourist related activities) on Friday 5 August. There will also be pre and post congress tours available as well as the soil judging contest.

CWG is going to organize the cryopedological session "Progress in understanding cryogenic soils at the ends of the Earth: mountainous, polar and periglacial regions".

Here is the short description of the session topic:
Soils in areas subject to freezing conditions, whether in the Arctic, Antarctic or high mountain areas, are of particular concern and interest as they respond and adapt to changing environmental conditions as a result of both climate change and direct human activities.

The session will take place at the 1st of August (Monday) and we're still excited to receive your abstracts no later than  November 30, 2021. Acceptance notification will be in January 2022.

Should you have any questions in regard to the abstract submission process, please contact me directly or our event organisers, Speakeasy at wcss2022@speak.co.uk
Please download the PDF below for more information.
To submit and abstract please click on the link to the Abstract Portal. It will be also helpful to forward me your abstracts as well since I'm expected to be the convenor of the session.
