Dear Cryolist members,
We are convening a mini-symposium about "Mathematics of Sea ice, ice sheets and ice shelves" at the 8th European Congress on Computational Methods in Applied Engineering (ECCOMAS - http://www.eccomas2022.org/) and would be delighted to have a large variety of topics to discuss similarities and differences in approaches to represent the complex mechanisms at work in these parts of the cryosphere in numerical models. We are especially welcoming early career researchers!
You can find a more detailed description of the mini-symposium as well as potential other speakers here: http://www.eccomas2022.org/admin/Files/FileAbstract/MS157.pdf.
The ECCOMAS takes place every 4 to 5 years and is planned to take place between the 5th and 9th of June 2022 in Oslo, Norway and the deadline for abstract submission is the 10th of December 2021. The guidelines for abstract submissions are described here: http://www.eccomas2022.org/frontal/Autor.asp and you can find the registration fee here: http://www.eccomas2022.org/frontal/Fees.asp.
Currently, the conference is planned in a face-to-face format. We'll see if that will indeed be the case in some months.
Let us know if you are interested and have any questions on the conference or mini-symposium.
All the best,
