Next week there is a meeting titled "How can EarthCube benefit Polar Sciences?" being organized by BCube, one of the EarthCube “Building Block” projects. NSF’s EarthCube program seeks to transform the conduct of research by developing community-guided cyberinfrastructure that enables an unprecedented level of data and knowledge sharing across the geosciences. The meeting at AGU will begin with a short introduction to some of the technologies being developed by BCube, followed by an open discussion about the types of online data sources and services that are of greatest interest to the Polar community. This information will be used in guiding future efforts at improving discovery and mediation of these resources.
The meeting will be held 4:30pm to 5:30 pm on Wednesday in the Arctic Community Meeting Room, Foothill D on the 2nd floor of the San Francisco Marriott Marquis.
