[CRYOLIST] AGU C009: Controls on Tidewater Glacier Terminus Dynamics in Observations and Models

Dear Colleagues,

Please join us for a tidewater glacier terminus dynamics session at AGU 2019, with invited presentations by Youngmin Choi (University of California Irvine) and Leigh Stearns (University of Kansas).

Session C009: Controls on Tidewater Glacier Terminus Dynamics in Observations and Models

The session will focus on progress in our process-based understanding of tidewater glacier termini through in-situ and remote observations as well as modeling studies in Greenland, Antarctica, Alaska, and elsewhere. We invite contributions focusing on any processes that influence and/or control tidewater glacier termini including, but not limited to, subglacial discharge, ice-melt parameterizations, fjord and ocean properties, plume upwelling, and calving.

See you in San Francisco!

On behalf of the session conveners:
Ellyn Enderlin, Boise State University
Denis Felikson, NASA Goddard Space Flight Center
Laura Stevens, Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory
Catherine Walker, NASA Goddard Space Flight Center/Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution
