Applications are welcomed (deadline 25 Jan 2016) for a fully-funded PhD opportunity (with a cryosphere dimension): "Multi-sourced Structure-from-Motion photogrammetry for capturing the variation of challenging rivers in Iceland."
The project concerns repeat photography and Structure-from-Motion (SfM) modelling of river cross-sections in Iceland; investigation of crowdsourced tourist photography as a potential source of high-frequency data; and evaluation of SfM-derived river cross-sections to determine flow variation where conventional methods fail.
