[CRYOLIST] MA/MS/PhD position available in glacier mass balance, glacier runoff, or related topics at Colorado State University, USA

Are you interested in glacier mass balance, glacier runoff, or something similar? Are you looking to start graduate school in Fall 2016? Then I may have a position for you!

My name is Andy Bliss and I am a Geographer based in the Department of Anthropology at Colorado State University. It is a unique department that combines Anthropology with Geography and includes a focus on human-environment interactions in mountain regions. We have a great group of Anthropology faculty and a growing group of Geography faculty (I think we're great too, but I'm biased). Please contact me for more details about the projects I'm working on, and ideas you may have for collaboration. Andrew.Bliss@colostate.edu  http://anthropology.colostate.edu/

Funding will be available as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and potentially as a Graduate Research Assistant (pending availability of grant funding). Prospective students can choose to apply to Anthropology (M.A.) or the interdisciplinary Graduate Degree Program in Ecology (M.S. or Ph.D.). Anthropology's application deadline is February 1, 2016. The GDPE deadline is January 1, 2016.

CSU has strong programs in Geosciences, Ecology, Atmospheric Sciences, and Human Dimensions of Natural Resources - all of which affect glaciers and will play a role in future glacier change.

Fort Collins is a great place to live. There are lots of outdoor adventure opportunities close by and even more within a couple hours' drive. There's a vibrant social scene in town with a wide selection of restaurants, microbreweries, distilleries, cultural events, etc. Fun fact: Disneyland's Main Street U.S.A. was based on downtown Fort Collins.

I will be attending the AGU Fall Meeting in San Francisco next week and would be glad to meet with interested students. Please send me an email to set up a meeting.
