The organizing committee of the XXI Argentine Geological Congress kindly invites you to participate in the Technical Session 18: Cryospheric Sciences.
The meeting is going to be held in the town of Puerto Madryn (Rayentray Hotel, Centro Nacional Patagónico (CENPAT), Universidad de la Patagonia "San Juan Bosco"), Chubut, Argentina, September 21-25, 2020. The Argentine Geological Congress is still ongoing; any any other news (regarding a changing of meeting format, date or postponement of the event) will be advised in June.
The technical session comprises the following topics:
1. Past and present mountain and continental periglacial environments
2. Glaciology
3. Nivology
4. Cryo-atmosphere
5. Paraglacial, periglacial landscapes and cryospheric ecosystems
6. Landforms and processes monitoring reports
7. Glacial and periglacial hydrology/hydrogeology
8. Lithosphere/Hydrosphere/Anthroposphere interactions
9: Ice: marine, terrestrial, extra-terrestrial, physics and experimentation
10. Frontier studies in Cryospheric Sciences
Abstracts should be sent via the XXI Argentine Geological Congress website: http://www.congresogeologico.org.ar/trabajos. Contributions may be sent in English, Spanish or Portuguese. However, the event will be held in Spanish.
Deadline for abstracts submission is: APRIL 15, 2020
