[CRYOLIST] Postponement – British Society for Geomorphology Annual Meeting 2020

Dear colleagues,

With regret, we have postponed this year's Annual Meeting of the British Society for Geomorphology until September 2021.

The conference organisers and the society's Executive Committee have taken this decision because considerable uncertainty remains as to longer-term restrictions on movement and mass gatherings as we move towards the summer, in addition to the various and far-reaching implications of the ongoing Covid-19 crisis. In short, postponing the physical meeting is the responsible thing to do with the information that we have at this point.

That said, further information may follow as the Society looks into the viability of hosting a much shorter, stripped-down virtual meeting this September.

In the meantime, we look forward to welcoming you to Northumbria in September 2021. Further information will follow toward the end of this year.

Stay safe,

Matt Westoby and colleagues.
