Dear Arctic research community
We have two announcements; (1) SIOS's special issue in the Remote Sensing Journal and (2) SIOS's Online conference on 04-05 June 2020
(1) SIOS's special issue: We are pleased to announce the SIOS's (https://sios-svalbard.org/) special issue on " Earth Observation (EO), Remote Sensing (RS) and Geoinformation (GI) applications in Svalbard" in the journal Remote Sensing. This special issue is being coordinated by the guest editors from SIOS's Remote Sensing Working Group (RSWG) and SIOS member institutes. More details about this special issue can be found on; https://sios-svalbard.org/SpecialIssueRemoteSensing. The special issue submissions will be accepted until 31st December 2021. Contributions will be published continuously and later compiled into a special issue.
(2) SIOS's online conference: In addition to the special issue, we are hosting the Online conference on 04-05 June 2020 to promote our special issue. Consider submitting abstract and present your research in this online conference: https://sios-svalbard.org/RS_OnlineConference2020. The abstract submission deadline is on 24th May 2020. *The top 5 presentations by ECRs will be eligible to have the article processing charge (APC) covered by SIOS when submitting manuscripts to the SIOS's special issue in the journal Remote Sensing.
