[CRYOLIST] Job Opening - Ice Sheet Remote Sensing - Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology

Research Scientist - Remote Sensing and Analysis of Ice Sheet & Ice Shelf Processes

The Jet Propulsion Laboratory is excited to announce a new opening for a Scientist who will bring expertise in remote sensing and analysis of massive data archives to derive geophysical understanding of ice sheet and ice shelf processes.  The successful candidate will produce and lead high-profile science that derives improved process understanding of ice shelf-ocean-glacier interactions from large volumes of remotely sensed (airborne and satellite) datasets.  Specifically, the candidate will develop novel methods for retrieving large scale and continuous geophysical records relevant to ice shelf and ice sheet research from homogenous, discontinuous and low signal observations.

At JPL we're driven to discover, create, and inspire something that lasts a lifetime and beyond. Located in Pasadena, California, JPL has a campus-like environment situated on 177 acres in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains and offers a work environment unlike any other: we inspire passion, foster innovation, build collaboration, and reward excellence.

JPL is an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer and will, whenever possible, actively recruit and include for employment members of underrepresented minority groups, females, disabled veterans, protected veterans, and otherwise qualified persons with disabilities.
