I'm glad to spread a word from Cryosol Working Group about the possibility to give a talk during the short courses on permafrost-related topics organized by PYRN during EGU-2017.
Dear All,
Would you or your colleagues potentially interested in giving a talk within the short course organized by PYRN during the EGU 2017? It can be any topic, related to permafrost research. FYI, the EGU Guidelines for a short course: http://egu2017.eu/event_requests/short_courses.html
The list of possible/suggested topics:
- Multidisciplinarity as a key approach for carrying out permafrost research (more in depth) 10-15 mins
- Available methods to research permafrost (thanks to Florence for this suggestion) 10-15 mins
- Sample design strategies 10-15 mins
- Arctic/Antarctic/Greenland/whatsoever experience (someone presents their research )
- Associated organization (overview on permafrost-related organizations) 10-15 mins
If yes or you know someone who might be interested, please let me know by sending a suggested title as soon as possible and before 3 p.m. this Friday, January 20th. The young researchers will appreciate your presentations a lot!
P.S. The abstract submission for "Permafrost-affected soils" session, which was re-named to "Soils in cold-climate regions" (http://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EGU2017/session/23855 ) is still open. Please contact Alevtina in order to submit your abstract.
