Dear Colleagues,
Happy New Year and apologies for another session reminder, but please consider submitting an abstract to our session at the EGU General assembly 2017:
CL1.10 - Uncertainty in Palaeoclimate Proxies – How to Handle It (http://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EGU2017/session/24420)
This session is sponsored by the Advanced Climate Dynamics Summer School, through the Bjerknes Centre for Climate Research at the University of Bergen.
Our confirmed solicited speaker, Dr William D’Andrea (Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, Columbia University) will be giving a key note talk on climate proxy uncertainty in lake sediments.
We welcome contributions that: focus on improving the quantification and reporting of proxy uncertainty; provide examples of how qualitative uncertainty can be quantified; examine how bias in palaeo proxies can be dealt with; develop methods for cross-disciplinary research; and explore the requirements of climate modellers to validate model simulations.
The deadline for abstract submission is 11th January 2017. Information regarding abstract submission can be found on the EGU website:
http://egu2017.eu/abstract_management/how_to_submit_an_abstract.html
We look forward to seeing you in Vienna!
Best wishes,
Timothy Lane, Matthew Finkenbinder, Henning Ã…kesson, Kathryn Adamson, Nora Loose, Christine Hamilton
