We would like to draw your attention about several sessions focusing on soils in cold-climate environments at the next EGU General Assembly (Vienna, Austria 23-28th April, 2017).
SSS3.7 - Soils in Space and Time: Soils in Mountain, Boreal and Polar Environments
SSS9.13/BG9.45/CL4.06/CR4.7 - Permafrost-affected soils
SSS10.11/CR4.6 - Mountain soils
The deadline for abstract submission is approaching fast: 11th January 2017
Based on the contributions to this session, and as already done over the last years (i.e. Solid Earth, Catena, Science of the Total Environment), we will organize a Special Issue in Land Degradation & Development (Impact Factor: 8.2). This year the SI will focus on: "Paraglacial processes in recently deglaciated environments".
