[CRYOLIST] FRISP meeting 2016

Dear all,
this is to announce that registration has now opened for the 30th FRISP meeting which will be held in Gothenburg, Sweden, on Oct 3rd - Oct 6th.
The FRISP meeting is for scientists working with various aspects of ice shelf processes meeting in an informal setting and exchanging ideas, results and field plans. This year there will be a special focus on under ice observations, including information and feedback with the SOOS under ice working group presently being formed. The meeting includes an APECS mentor panel discussion, prizes for best student presentations, and a guided excursion to the historical station Bornö situated in the Gullmar fjord, famous for its geology and marine life.
Travel support for students is provided.
The meeting will take place in one of the University of Gothenburg marine field stations, Kristineberg. More information about Kristineberg can be found here: http://loven.gu.se/english/stations/kristineberg

The deadline for registration is on June 15th, 2016. Register online at: https://sunet.artologik.net/gu/Survey/816
Abstract and conference fee will be required after the summer. The estimated total conference fee (including meals and accommodation) is:
- for staying three nights at the Kristineberg research station (single / double): 3000 / 2500 SEK
- for staying three nights at the nearby Gullmarsstrand Hotel: 5500 SEK

The final cost is hopefully going to be reduced aided by financial support that has been applied for.
