[CRYOLIST] EGU23: Session CR4.3 on "Cold Climate Lake Remote Sensing"

Dear colleagues,

Please consider submitting an abstract to our session at the EGU general assembly in April 2023.

We are looking forward to seeing many of you in Vienna. Virtual participation is also possible.

It would be great if you could spread the word!

Best wishes,

Manu Tom, Laura Carrea, Claude Duguay, Katja Kuhwald, Xiao Yang

CR4.3: Cold Climate Lake Remote Sensing

We invite abstracts that focus on remote sensing of cold climate lake observables such as ice cover, ice thickness, water extent, water level, surface water temperature, and water colour (e.g. turbidity, chlorophyll-a and coloured dissolved organic matter). We encourage studies using either single or multi-source remote sensing platforms, with input data sources including (but not limited to) ground-based webcams, UAVs, and satellite-based optical, thermal and microwave sensors. Both data-driven (e.g., machine learning/deep learning) and physics-inspired approaches will be considered. We especially encourage contributions that aim at large-scale (both spatial and temporal) analysis and/or multi-sensor data fusion. The session offers the opportunity to present results from ongoing research projects.

Deadline: 10 January 2023
Deadline for financial support: 01 December 2022
