A 12 month PDRA is available at the Bristol Glaciology Centre, University of Bristol, to continue work on a NERC funded programme to study the ice sheet boundary conditions of the Weddell Sea sector of the WAIS. The programme has previously acquired and processed >40,000 km of airborne radar data from the Institute and Moller ice streams. The PDRA would assist in its interpretation, and dissemination of findings. The project aims to combine glacier modelling with the geophysics observations to quantify current processes and past/future behaviour. The project involves collaboration with BAS and the Universities of York, Exeter, Aberdeen and Newcastle.
