Postdoc position available at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography
We are seeking a talented postdoctoral scholar with prior experience in satellite altimetry to work with NASA's ICESat-2 Science Definition Team and IceBridge Science Team to validate data products and processing algorithms for these missions, and to incorporate existing satellite laser and radar altimeter datasets (e.g., ICESat, CryoSat-2). The work will be targeted toward advancing science applications on ice shelves, grounded ice, and terrestrial reference surfaces (e.g. dry lakes). The postdoc may also be involved in examining the relationship of changes in ice shelf thickness to changes in the ocean/atmosphere and the grounded ice sheet, and to changing surface properties. Collaboration is with ESR & Stanford University.
