Following the success of the initMIP-Greenland, the first in a series of ISMIP6 ice sheet model intercomparison activities, we are now starting initMIP-Antarctica. The experiments performed aim at better understand the impact of ice sheet model initial conditions and improve initialization techniques.
The experiments can be performed either at continental scale or on specified regional domains, and more information is available on the ISMIP6 website: http://www.climate-cryosphere.org/wiki/index.php?title=InitMIP-Antarctica
Preliminary results will be analyzed at a pre-AGU workshop, so we encourage all potential participants to attend the workshop.
