Dear Cryolist Subscribers,
Between the 28th and 30th August 2019, ICIMOD (International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development) will be hosting the 'International Forum on the Cryosphere and Society: The Voice of the HKH', a first-of-its-kind event providing a platform for focusing on the emerging area of cryosphere contributions. The main objective of this forum is to bring together regional and international experts and stakeholders to establish a better understanding of the framework of cryosphere contributions, exploring the links between the cryosphere and high mountain and downstream communities.
We would like to draw your attention to our Travel Grant Call for this event, which we hope you will share with youth and early-career colleagues who would be interested: https://www.huc-hkh.org/announcements/detail/icimod-travel-grant-to-august-2019-cryosphere-forum. We have extended the deadline for applications to Thursday 6th June 2019.
The forum webpage can be found here (http://www.icimod.org/?q=35283). It will be updated with more detailed information in the coming days and weeks.
Should you be interested in learning more, please reach out to us at cryoforum@icimod.org.
Best regards,
Sam Inglis and the Cryo Forum Team
