Dear members of the Cryolist,
We are happy to announce the start of the second Marine Ice Sheet-Ocean Modeling Intercomparison Project (MISOMIP2 <http://www.climate-cryosphere.org/mips/misomip>) as a follow-up to previous ISOMIP, MISMIP and MISOMIP activities. This targeted project supported by the Climate and Cryosphere (CliC) program is dedicated to advance coupled glacier-ocean modeling for Antarctica, and foster a close collaboration between ice and ocean communities.
We have scheduled a short online meeting to outline the aims of MISOMIP2, to inform potential participants about the timeline and to discuss the experimental protocol. To accommodate all timezones, we will be running 2 separate sessions:
Tuesday 1 September 2020, 6pm-7pm CEST
Thursday 3 September 2020, 9am-10am CEST
If you are interested in attending either of these sessions and/or would like to receive future communications about MISOMIP2 activities, then please send an email to sympa@services.cnrs.fr with subject line subscribe misomip2. Please contact Nicolas Jourdain (nicolas.jourdain@univ-grenoble-alpes.fr) or Jan De Rydt (jan.rydt@northumbria.ac.uk) in case you have any questions.
On behalf of the MISOMIP2 committee,
Nicolas Jourdain, Jan De Rydt, Yoshihiro Nakayama, Ralph Timmerman
