[CRYOLIST] Submission deadline for glacier outlines to be considered for RGI7

Dear colleagues

The IACS Working group on the Randolph Glacier Inventory (RGI) and its role in future glacier monitoring and GLIMS plans a new release of the  Randolph Glacier Inventory (RGI) at the end of the year (RGI7.0). We aim at getting glacier outlines in RGI7.0 as close as possible to the year 2000 and further improve data quality in specific regions.

If you have any new datasets, please consider submitting them to GLIMS (glacierdata@nsidc.org). If they arrive by the end of June, they might be considered for inclusion in RGI7.0. For the RGI update we are particularly interested in glacier outlines or inventory data for the RGI (sub-) regions: United States, Low Latitudes, Southern Andes, New Zealand, and Sub-Antarctic Islands. However, all datasets are highly welcome at this stage! If you have any questions, please let us know - you will find more information about the RGI7 schedule in our online meeting notes.

Thank you very much for your contribution!

Kind regards,

Fabien Maussion, Regine Hock, Frank Paul,
Bruce Raup, Michael Zemp, Philipp Rastner,
on behalf of the RGI Working Group members.
