[CRYOLIST] Memorial Event for Professor David Collins

Dear friends and colleagues

As you know, there will be a memorial event to celebrate the life of
Professor David Collins, to be held on Friday 20 January from 12:30 pm
to 5:00 pm in Peel Hall at the University of Salford.

The focus of this event will be David's scientific work and legacy and
therefore the afternoon will comprise a series of presentations from
those who worked with David over the years, followed by a wine reception
with light snacks.

We would welcome short 20 minute presentations that fall under one of
the following categories:

1) Fieldwork reports and stories (with images) – and doubtless
numerous humorous anecdotes!
2) Reports of scientific investigations working directly with David.
3) Reports of scientific investigations or scientific careers that were
inspired or emanated from work undertaken with David or were developed
with David's help and support.

If you would like to give a presentation please send an email with a
provisional title and short abstract/summary of your presentation to
Andy Barrett (apbarret@nsidc.org).

If recipients of this email are firmly intending to attend the memorial,
please sign up via the eventbrite link below for administrative and
catering purposes.
