[CRYOLIST] Permafrost study the Hindu Kush Himalayas - Survey

Dear Colleagues,

The International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) is launching a pilot study to assess the environmental and societal impacts of permafrost thaw in the Hindu Kush Himalayas. In this two-part pilot study we will (a) assess the quality of the modelled permafrost distribution with the mapping of rock glaciers and (b) consolidate the current state of knowledge based on a literature review.

In order to get to know the people who are working on or interested in permafrost in the Hindu Kush Himalayas we have created a short questionnaire which you can find at: http://www.icimod.org/survey/index.php?sid=19552&lang=en Please fill in this questionnaire and pass it on to your networks. We are very much relying on you, the people involved with permafrost, and very grateful for every contribution!

If you would like to know more about our project please visit: http://www.icimod.org/?q=11478

Kind Regards,

Marc-Olivier Schmid
